DAOs are taking over the world
In 2021, the Total Value Locked in Decentralised Finance (DeFi) quadrupled to a total value of $111.27 billion. As DeFi and Crypto explode, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) are quickly making a comeback.
DAOs, or Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, are a type of business that is collectively owned and managed by its members. This means that DAO’s do not have a head, or a single unit of control. Instead, the administration of the company is distributed among its users. In other words, DAOs are autonomous entities that exist on the internet and allow for collective decision.
DAOs are not limited in scope – they can be as small as a startup or as large as a global conglomerate. As the total value of the community continues to grow, the business world is increasingly becoming decentralized, and it is important for society to full understand the potential of this new exciting technology.
