In a recent episode of the Mangtas Podcast, I had the chance to discuss the world of AI and data science, as well as token economics and auditing in the decentralized finance space. As a true polymath with an impressive background in psychology, artificial intelligence, statistics, economics, and a Ph.D. in computer science, I shared my insights on various domains, including natural language processing, recommender systems, sports analytics, data culture, and neural networks.
During the podcast, I shared my career story and how I developed my interest in data science and academia, emphasizing the importance of learning in the tech space and applying basics to solve a problem. I also shared my story about studying predictive modeling of football injuries and working in different fields.
The inspiration for founding The Tesseract Academy was born out of the need to provide decision-makers with the knowledge and skills to understand complex technical topics like data science and AI. I distinguished data science from AI and used the analogy of medicine to explain how data science is like diagnosis, while AI is like treatment.
We also discussed the possibilities of company layoffs with AI, explaining how AI can help in a remote work setting, organization, and culture. However, I also shared my concerns about AI and what worries me about the technology.
Moving on to the world of crypto, we discussed “tokenomics” and auditing and the importance of these concepts in building trust and ensuring transparency in the decentralized finance space. I also shared what I learned from the philosophy of mind in the experience of shifts from technologies and how AI and data are the mirror of ourselves.
The conversation then turned to the debate on functionalities of AI having emotions and how an insane amount of data creates a clever algorithm to replicate the human mind.
